In this role, you'll lead a small team of bookkeepers, review their work for accuracy, **meet directly with clients to review financials**, and prepare basic tax returns. We're on a mission to help painting contractors understand their numbers, scale their businesses, and save big in taxes—and we need an A.C.E. on our team. **What You’ll Do** * **Lead** and mentor a small team of bookkeepers, ensuring high\-quality client delivery * **Take Ownership of** and be responsible for a client portfolio of 45\-60 clients (varies based on size and complexity of clients) * **Review** client books each month for accuracy, completeness, and insight * **Meet with clients** to walk through their books, answer questions, and ensure clarity * **Prepare** basic tax returns, review tax returns for accuracy, and support tax planning initiatives * **Maintain and clean up** QuickBooks Online files to keep financials accurate and actionable * **Collaborate** with advisory and automation specialists to help clients scale smart * **Contribute** to improving internal processes and best practices **Compensation \& Benefits** Hourly Rate: $39\-42 per hour Guaranteed 40\-hour work week (overtime available up to 48 hours) Total Compensation Package $98,000\+ Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) Paid Time Off 13 Paid Holidays Annual Continuing Education Support Flexible Schedule \& Results\-Based Culture Company Equity Opportunities **What We’re Looking For** At Profitable Painter CPA PLLC, we hire for **values first**, then skills: Our Core Values: **A.C.E.** * **Accountability** – You take ownership and follow through * **Collaboration** – You work well across teams and bring solutions, not just problems * **Excellence** – You sweat the details and strive to improve every day **Your Background** * **Expert\-level experience in QuickBooks Online (QBO)** * Deep understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting * Strong communication skills \- you make complicated topics easy to understand * Experience leading or reviewing work from a team * Comfortable and professional in **client\-facing meetings** * Experience with Drake Tax or similar tax software is a plus, but not required \- we'll teach you everything you need to know when it comes to tax preparation
