Operations Bookkeeper – AU Accounting (Remote)Work From Home | Full-Time | AU Hours | PH-BasedOutsourcedIn is partnering with an Australian client to hire an experienced Operations Bookkeeper with a strong understanding of Australian accounting standards, tax rules, and compliance requirements.This role focuses on end-to-end bookkeeping, including AP/AR, reconciliations, and financial reporting, while also supporting operational and administrative workflows.The ideal candidate has proven experience working with Australian businesses and is confident communicating with Australian clients and stakeholders.Australian bookkeeping experience is ESSENTIAL.About the Role
You will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping functions, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting compliance with Australian tax requirements.This is a detail-driven role requiring strong organisation, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.Key ResponsibilitiesBookkeeping & Financial ManagementManage end-to-end bookkeeping including accounts payable and receivablePerform bank and account reconciliations accurately and consistentlyProcess invoices, payments, and expense trackingPrepare financial reports and cash flow summariesCompliance & Payroll SupportSupport BAS preparation and ensure GST complianceAssist with payroll processing, superannuation, and related complianceMaintain compliance with Australian accounting standardsSystems & AdministrationMaintain accurate financial records in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar systemsLiaise with accountants, clients, and suppliers professionallySupport operational workflows and administrative processesMandatory RequirementsProven experience working with Australian businesses (ESSENTIAL)Strong understanding of AU accounting: GST, BAS, AP/ARExcellent written and verbal English communication (ESSENTIAL)High attention to detail and strong organisational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a remote environmentExperience with Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooksHighly RegardedExperience in transport, construction, real estate, or service-based industriesExposure to operational or administrative support alongside bookkeepingKPIsAccuracy of financial records and reconciliationsTimely processing of invoices, payments, and reportsCompliance with Australian tax and accounting requirementsQuality of communication with clients and stakeholdersOriginally posted on Himalayas
