Tax Data Entry Specialist (Seasonal)

### **Description** We are seeking a highly organized, diligent, and detail\-organized Tax Data Entry Specialist to support the tax preparation department in their import and verification of tax data. The ideal candidate is someone who can recognize common tax forms and accurately input data into tax software, without needing to make tax decisions. This is a **remote, full\-time, hourly, seasonal position** for individuals looking to gain hands\-on experience in tax preparation workflows. **Minimum Qualifications** * Ability to recognize common tax forms (W\-2, 1099, 1098, K\-1\) * Experience with UltraTax CS and SurePrep * Familiarity with efficiency, workflow, and communication software (Google Suite, Slack, Zoom) * Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with integrity and discretion * Prior tax season experience or data entry experience is a plus ### **Key Responsibilities** * Input tax documents into tax software (W\-2s, 1099s, 1098s, K\-1s) * Organize and label client documents within our system * Bookmark and prepare PDFs for tax preparation utilizing SurePrep * Perform basic data validation (e.g. totals match source documents) * Flag missing or inconsistent information for review * Follow standardized checklists and procedures for every return * Upload completed work for review by tax preparers ### **Skills, Knowledge and Expertise** Diligence, attention to detail, and accuracy Organization skills with focus on efficiency Ability to work independently while following structure processes and checklists Honesty and integrity### **Benefits** * Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance * Paid vacation and sick time * Paid holidays * 401(k) with match * Work from home * Teambuilding events ### **About Tax Alchemy** Tax Alchemy is a premier tax strategy firm specializing in helping business owners and real estate investors significantly reduce their tax burdens.
