**Financial Planning \& Business Controller — Part\-Time** **Company:** Swift \& Gentle Moving \& Storage **Location:** Tucson, Arizona — Hybrid/Remote **Schedule:** 20–25 hours per week **Compensation:** $35–$50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications **Help Build the Finance Office of a Growing Company** Swift \& Gentle Moving \& Storage is seeking an experienced finance professional to help build and lead the financial infrastructure supporting the next stage of our growth. This is not a traditional bookkeeping position. We are looking for an organized, analytical, and self\-directed professional who can build financial systems, improve reporting, strengthen cash\-flow management, and help leadership make better business decisions. The person selected for this role will work directly with the CEO and collaborate with our current bookkeeper during the onboarding and transition process. The position will initially support Swift \& Gentle Moving \& Storage, with the potential to expand across future acquisitions and additional operating companies. **Who We Are Looking For** The ideal candidate is someone who: * Thinks independently and takes ownership of outcomes * Is highly organized, accurate, and dependable * Can turn incomplete or disorganized financial information into clear systems * Enjoys building processes rather than simply maintaining them * Can identify financial concerns and recommend solutions without waiting to be directed * Communicates financial information clearly to business leadership * Is comfortable working in a fast\-moving, entrepreneurial environment * Can manage priorities and deadlines while working remotely and independently This role may be especially well suited for: * A semi\-retired Controller, CFO, Finance Director, FP\&A Manager, or Senior Accountant seeking meaningful part\-time work * An experienced accounting or finance professional seeking greater flexibility * A professional transitioning away from a full\-time corporate role * An exceptional graduate student or recent graduate with substantial prior accounting or finance experience Experience, judgment, initiative, and independent thinking are more important to us than a specific career path. **Primary Responsibilities** **Financial Planning and Forecasting** * Develop and maintain the company’s annual operating budget * Prepare monthly and quarterly financial forecasts * Build and update a rolling 13\-week cash\-flow forecast * Develop cash projections and identify potential shortfalls before they occur * Prepare financial scenarios to support hiring, equipment, pricing, and investment decisions **Financial Analysis** * Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, and operating performance * Evaluate labor costs, cost per move, revenue per truck, and profitability by service * Review budget\-versus\-actual results and explain material variances * Identify cost\-saving opportunities, financial risks, and areas of margin leakage *
