Position Description: Valiant Solutions is seeking a **Security Compliance** **Policy and Guide Writer** to join our rapidly growing and innovative cybersecurity team! Remote work requires a high level of trust in our employees, and we strictly adhere to the details outlined in our Remote Work Policy below.*** **Required Experience** * 3\+ years of experience writing technical documentation for IT solutions, including operational guides and compliance documentation * 5\+ years of related experience * A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering or related degree OR two (2\) additional years of professional experience in lieu of degree. * Must understand both NIST special publications, FISMA, and other federal laws and regulations and be able to digest them while translating them into policy. * Ability to rapidly and effectively research Federal regulations, laws, and guidance and apply them in the editing and writing of policies, technical guides, and procedural guides. * Experience using Google Workspace (Google Drive, Sheets, Docs) a plus * Working knowledge of IT standards and frameworks (at a minimum, NIST and ISO) **Responsibilities*** Ensures all Agency documents align with the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA), other Federal guidance such as Executive Orders, Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Memoranda, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) publications, and the Agency’s internal guidance on the security of information and information systems. * Interfaces with federal employees and contractors to perform the required activities. * Assists in presenting updates and the status of deliverables to the client. * Develops spreadsheets (Google and Excel) for tracking metrics reported about FISMA, assessment tests both for Assessment \& Authorization (A\&A) and continuous monitoring, and development/maintenance of Google Forms. * Gathers and writes technical documents for the installation, operation, and maintenance of information systems in clear and concise language * Ensures that technical documents are written in a clear, readable format that can be understood by technical and non\-technical personnel *
