If you're passionate about using geospatial technology to support meaningful missions, we want to hear from you.Position Summary We are seeking multiple Geospatial Analyst Remotely with a strong foundation in geospatial technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and processing geospatial data, generating visualizations, and contributing to high-quality GIS products for a variety of mission-focused projects.Key Responsibilities: Must have Maritime experience for this roleAnalyze, manage, and interpret geospatial data to support JANUS contract deliverablesCreate and maintain high-quality maps and GIS products using ArcGIS 10.x, ArcGIS Pro, and/or Erdas ImagineApply QA/QC protocols to ensure accuracy and integrity of geospatial outputsLeverage remote sensing techniques to contribute to land and ground cover datasetsCollaborate with a remote team of analysts, data managers, and mission leadsUse Microsoft Office 365 for reporting, communication, and documentationMaintain file structure and data hygiene using Windows File Explorer and standardized workflowsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Remote Sensing, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experienceHands-on experience with ArcGIS 10.x and/or ArcGIS Pro and extensionsExperience with Erdas Imagine or similar remote sensing softwareStrong verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Windows File ExplorerPreferred Qualifications:TDS or MGCP and ARGIS requiredFamiliar with maritime datasets, Notice to Marines, navigational aids, dangers to navigation, etc. Very high attention to details, can learn and come up to speed very quickly, complete tasks efficiently and accurately, and work very well with the existing team to contribute to meeting project goals.Familiarity with classification techniques and land/ground cover data modelingAbility to work independently and as part of a geographically distributed teamMUST be a US Citizen and work remotely in the United StatesWhy Join Geo Owl:Contribute to meaningful national security missionsJoin a team that values innovation, integrity, and excellenceOpportunities for professional growth and continuing educationOriginally posted on Himalayas
