About the Job: As our Senior QA Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of Comfrt's mobile app portfolio and its supporting backend services. Our apps span wellness experiences (including gamified features like streaks, challenges, and rewards) as well as Shopify-powered eCommerce. You will split your time between manual testing of app functionality and building and maintaining automated tests to streamline QA coverage and regression protection. You will work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to test new features, identify edge cases, and validate that changes perform well across iOS and Android devices and through the full customer experience.Responsibilities:Own and execute end-to-end manual testing of new features, content updates, and integrations across the mobile appDesign, develop, and maintain automated UI test scripts using mobile automation toolingCreate detailed test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria based on product specs Perform cross-platform testing across iOS and Android to ensure consistent behavior and UXValidate accessibility compliance against WCAG 2.2 AA standards on iOS and Android, including testing with native screen readers (VoiceOver, TalkBack)Write and execute API tests against our serverless backend, including REST and GraphQL endpointsProactively identify, document, and track bugs and edge cases through to resolutionCollaborate with developers to understand how features are built and how best to test themMaintain testing coverage for high-impact user journeys across all apps, including wellness flows, gamification mechanics (streaks, rewards, challenges), and eCommerce flows such as cart, checkout, and post-purchaseOwn and improve regression test processes for every release cycleContribute to QA documentation, reporting, and test environment managementRequirements:5-7 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing within a mobile or digital product environmentHands-on experience with mobile test automation frameworks such as Maestro, Detox, or AppiumSolid understanding of manual testing methodologies, test case design, and bug trackingExperience testing React Native applications on iOS and AndroidExperience writing and executing API tests, including REST and GraphQL, using TypeScriptProficiency in TypeScriptFamiliarity with Git and collaborative version control workflowsExperience using AI tools to accelerate test development, exploratory testing, and QA workflowsStrong attention to detail with the ability to think critically about edge cases and user flowsExcellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and design teamsExperience with mobile accessibility testing, including manual testing with VoiceOver and TalkBack and auditing with platform tools such as Xcode Accessibility Inspector and Android Accessibility ScannerExperience with bug tracking and project management toolsPreferred QualificationsExperience testing against serverless, cloud-native backend architecturesExperience testing Shopify-powered mobile or eCommerce experiencesExperience testing gamified product features such as streaks, progression systems, animations, or reward logicFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into deployment workflowsExperience with cloud-based device testing platformsFamiliarity with load or performance testing toolsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experienceWhy Join Comfrt?Be part of a purpose-driven company that’s shaping the future of comfort and mental wellness.Work in a supportive, creative environment where your ideas and growth are valued.Enjoy Comfrt benefits such as generous paid time off, company-covered health insurance, 5% 401k match, and discounts on all Comfrt products!
