Material Handler I is responsible for safely moving materials and products throughout the manufacturing facility, supporting production flow, and maintaining organized inventory. This role plays a key part in ensuring materials are available where and when needed to keep operations running efficiently. **Essential Functions:** Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * ### **Operate a forklift to safely move materials between departments, yard, and production areas** * Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and finished goods * Stock and organize materials in designated inventory locations * Supply production areas with materials to maintain workflow and efficiency * Perform basic visual inspections of incoming materials for quality and accuracy * Conduct counts and verify inventory against documentation * Identify and report equipment issues, material discrepancies, or safety concerns * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment * Follow all safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) * Perform other duties as assigned to support production and warehouse operations **Competencies:** * Safety Focus – Follows safety procedures, uses PPE properly, and identifies/reports hazards * Attention to Detail – Accurately counts, inspects, and verifies materials and inventory * Reliability \& Accountability – Dependable, punctual, and takes ownership of assigned tasks * Teamwork – Works effectively with production, shipping, and supervisors to support workflow * Work Ethic – Maintains productivity in a fast\-paced, physically demanding environment * Communication – Clearly communicates material needs, issues, and concerns * Adaptability – Adjusts to changing priorities and supports multiple areas as needed * Equipment Operation – Safely operates (or learns to operate) forklift and material handling equipment * Problem Solving\- Identifies basic issues and escalates discrepancies or concerns appropriately **Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):** * High School Diploma or
