The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with construction materials, takeoffs, and pricing. While your duties will depend on the specific needs of your client, they will include, but not be limited to:Assist in preparing cost estimates, bids, and proposals for construction projects. Perform quantity takeoffs from plans, blueprints, and specifications.Review drawings and project documents to identify scope requirements.Collect, compare, and organize pricing from vendors and subcontractors.Maintain and update cost databases, material pricing, and labor rates.Support the preparation and submission of bid packages.Assist in scope analysis to ensure all project components are included.Track bid deadlines and ensure timely submissions.Prepare estimation reports and summaries for internal review.Coordinate with project managers and estimators to clarify project details.Identify potential cost-saving opportunities or risks.Ensure accuracy and completeness of all estimation data.
RequirementsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).2+ years of proven experience in estimating or construction support roles.Familiarity with takeoff tools such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar.Strong numerical and analytical skills.Attention to detail and accuracy.Proficiency in Excel and estimation toolsTechnical RequirementsProcessor: Intel 11th Gen (or equivalent AMD Ryzen 5000 series) for Windows users and M2 for MacsRAM: 16 GB minimum25 - 50 Mbps Internet Speed (Min)USB headset with noise-canceling (ideally)
