401(k) program, life & accident insurance and disability insuranceAbout the roleAbout the roleAt Perceptive, we are growing our eClinical division and are seeking a high-performing Business Development Director (BDD) to drive new business and expand strategic client partnerships across the life sciences sector.This is a high-impact commercial role, offering full ownership of a defined set of pharmaceutical, biotech, and life sciences accounts. You will be responsible for developing territory strategy, building pipeline, winning new business, and growing existing accounts—playing a key role in our continued growth.What You’ll DoDrive Revenue & GrowthMeet and exceed annual sales targets set by Commercial leadershipOwn revenue delivery across your assigned territory/accountsDevelop Territory & Account StrategyBuild and execute strategic territory and account plans aligned to company growth objectivesIdentify and pursue high-value opportunities to consistently grow revenuePipeline ManagementDevelop and maintain a strong, qualified sales pipelineProactively manage pipeline health, risks, and forecasting accuracyWin New BusinessCollaborate with Lead Generation and senior Commercial stakeholders to identify and pursue new opportunitiesLead strategic client engagement from initial approach through to deal closeClient Engagement & Deal LeadershipOwn proposal strategy, including narrative development and executive positioningLead bid pursuit processes, governance meetings, and cross-functional deal teamsBuild strong, long-term relationships to establish preferred supplier statusAccount DevelopmentDrive account expansion through strategic account planningIdentify opportunities to increase wallet share within existing clientsProduct & Market EngagementWork with Strategic Marketing and internal teams to introduce new eClinical offerings into the marketSupport successful go-to-market execution for new capabilitiesExperienceProven track record of success in sales within life sciences (CRO, eClinical, clinical technology or related)Demonstrable success building and executing territory and account strategiesStrong history of delivering revenue growth and exceeding targetsExperience managing complex sales cycles, including proposal development and bid leadershipAbility to identify pipeline risks and implement mitigation strategiesSkills & CompetenciesStrong commercial acumen with a focus on new business development and account expansionExcellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAnalytical mindset with strong attention to detailComfortable working cross-functionally in a collaborative environmentProactive, self-motivated, and results-drivenTools & SystemsExperience working with CRM platforms, ideally SalesforceStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint)Education & LanguagesBachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field (MBA preferred)Fluent in English Why Join Perceptive?Be part of a high-growth, PE-backed organisation with strong market momentumTake on a true ownership role with visibility and impact across the businessWork with a collaborative, global team across commercial, marketing, and deliveryPlay a key role in shaping the success of our eClinical offeringThis role is remote. Candidates located in Boston or a commutable distance to Boston Massachusetts are preferred. We will consider candidates in Massachusetts / East Coast Time Zone who can commute to Boston.The annual salary range for this role is $150,000-$195,000 + commission and associated benefits.This range represents the anticipated initial annual salary and will vary depending on several factors including candidate’s experience and skills as well as market rate adjustments.Come as you are.
