About the Role
Party People Plus is hiring a part\-time Remote Bookkeeper to support the financial records for its holiday decorating, décor leasing, décor sales, installation, vendor purchasing, and online shop activity.
This role supports a seasonal business with frequent QuickBooks transactions, customer invoices, vendor bills, deposits, refunds, shipping costs, inventory\-related purchases, and project expenses. The Bookkeeper will help keep financial records accurate, organized, and ready for management review.
The position is remote, part\-time, and best suited for someone with bookkeeping experience, QuickBooks knowledge, strong attention to detail, and comfort working with a business that has both service and retail activity.
What the Bookkeeper Will Handle
The Bookkeeper will enter and categorize approved transactions in QuickBooks, including customer payments, deposits, refunds, credits, vendor bills, business expenses, décor purchases, installation\-related expenses, and service provider payments.
This role also includes tracking client invoices for holiday decorating services, décor lease payments, online product sales, and approved project charges. The Bookkeeper will help monitor open invoices, paid invoices, unpaid bills, payment notes, and records needing review.
Because Party People Plus works with décor purchases, seasonal inventory, installation supplies, ribbons, ornaments, collectibles, shipping, and vendor orders, this role also supports purchase tracking and expense organization.
The Bookkeeper will reconcile bank activity, credit card records, receipts, payment confirmations, and QuickBooks entries. Any missing receipts, duplicate charges, unclear categories, or incomplete records should be flagged for management before final updates.
The role also includes organizing digital files, including invoices, receipts, statements, vendor records, customer billing records, QuickBooks reports, sales records, and monthly bookkeeping notes.
Qualifications
Qualified applicants should have at least **2 years of bookkeeping, accounting support, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or small business finance experience**.
Hands\-on experience with **QuickBooks or QuickBooks Online** is required, especially entering transactions, categorizing expenses, tracking invoices, reconciling accounts, and reviewing records for missing or unclear information.
Applicants should be comfortable working with customer payments, vendor bills, receipts, deposits, refunds, credit card activity, bank records, and basic financial summaries.
Strong attention to detail is important for this role. The work involves names, dates, payment amounts, account categories, invoice numbers, vendor details, and customer billing records.
Basic spreadsheet skills are needed, including Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools.
