Director of Energy Storage Development

DIRECTOR OF ENERGY STORAGE DEVELOPMENTRenewable Properties (RP) is looking for a seasoned and highly motivated Director of Energy Storage Development. The Director of Energy Storage Development will be responsible for all aspect of RP’s energy storage business including identifying new storage markets for RP to enter; becoming an expert on energy storage technologies, use cases and value propositions; assist in determining optimal storage configuration and sizing for standalone and PV plus storage projects; determining market entry strategy for storage projects; and assisting the development team in siting and interconnecting storage projects. The ideal candidate has a track record of working on storage projects in various markets across the US. S/he must have entrepreneurial drive, deep and sophisticated understanding of the energy sector and excellent communication skills. This is an opportunity to play an integral role in driving Renewable Properties’ continued success and growth in a changing and impactful industry.Responsibilities:Identify and help shape what energy storage markets RP pursues.Engage with vendors and perform research to determine optimal energy storage products, configuration, use cases, and value proposition for end customers.Determine an optimal development strategy to maximize RP’s success on storage projects.Identify and engage buyers of storage products as well as assist in the creation of proposals for energy storage projects.Assist in negotiating contracts for storage projects.Manage and coordinate work efforts with other team members in an organized, flawless manner.Requirements:7+ years’ experience working energy storage projects in various markets in the US.Effective analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve time-sensitive issues with precision.Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) and negotiation skills. Sophisticated understanding of the environmental and utility regulatory environment.Rigorous attention to detail, work ethic, personal responsibility, work product ownership and organizational skills.Proven track record of success in navigating ambiguity and thriving in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment.Resourceful team player with a track record of successfully collaborating cross-functionally.
