Job Description

Position Title: VP, Event Content & Strategy Reports to: Vice President, Event Operations Location: NYC or Remote The VP, Event Content & Strategy is the senior executive responsible for defining and delivering CRA’s content strategy across its portfolio of innovative tradeshows and events, including Identiverse, InfoSec World, and MSSP Alert Live. This leader plays a crucial role in shaping the overall content strategy, theme, and positioning of the events, overseeing the recruitment of speakers, developing content strategies, and ensuring that the event's theme aligns with the target audience's interests and needs. The primary objective is to create engaging, informative, and relevant content that adds value to attendees' experience and meets the event's goals and objectives. This is a transformational leadership role suited for an innovative, strategic, and operationally excellent content executive. The ideal candidate is a strategic, data-driven, and collaborative executive with deep experience in B2B media and events, and a passion for helping cybersecurity professionals and partners make smarter decisions and accelerate growth.Responsibilities:Content Vision & StrategyCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define the overarching theme and positioning of the conference or event, ensuring a cohesive experiential journey across live, digital and social touchpoints.Establish and manage effectively advisory boards, ensuring the boards leverage practitioner and executive expertise and support the events’ strategic and business objectives.Demonstrate strong commercial and creative instinct recruiting keynotes and contributors to each eventConduct market research, competitive analysis, and analyze industry trends to ensure the chosen theme resonates with the target audience.Develop a compelling narrative that effectively communicates the event's value proposition and differentiates it from competitors.Design experiential content strategies that translate seamlessly design on-site stages to digital platforms, on-demand content, and social media amplification.Develop content approaches that differentiate, strengthen brand identity, and reinforce CRA’s authority and leadership in cybersecurity. Build strategies to expand CRA’s content footprint into emerging or adjacent vertical markets. Establish unified editorial standards, voice, governance, and quality guidelines across all brandsProgram Design and Execution Determine the mix of keynote presentations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, and experiential formats to deliver a well-rounded program.Curate session topics and formats that address current industry challenges, emerging trends, and attendees' interests.Collaborate with speakers and moderators to develop content outlines, presentations, and supporting materials.Work with the team as it related to the design, website, app, and any technology to create high-impact live experiences to enhance the attendee experience.Oversee the development of high-quality content, ensuring it meets established standards for accuracy, relevance, and engagement.Review and refine session content to ensure consistency with the event's theme and messaging.Curate supplementary materials such as whitepapers, case studies, and multimedia assets to enhance the attendee experience.Identify strategic partners and lead the effort on defining the deliverables and benefits - working closely with our director of partnerships.Cross-Functional CollaborationLiaise with internal teams, external partners, sponsors, and vendors to coordinate content-related activities.Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on content development progress and address any concerns or feedback.Foster strong relationships with speakers, moderators, and sponsors to enhance collaboration and maximize value delivery.Oversee the management of on-site speaker engagement, speaker registration and panel logistics at the event.Work on a cross functional team to execute events across the portfolio.Onsite Speaking and Run of Show Management (ROS)Opening Remarks (Optional):Provide an overview of the event's goals and theme.Emphasize the importance of the content and how it aligns with audience interests.Session Introductions (Selective):Introduce keynote speakers or panels with insightful context on why they were chosen.Highlight key learning objectives for each session. Panel Moderation (If Applicable):Guide discussions, ensuring balanced contributions from panelists.Engage the audience with questions and encourage interaction.Content Recaps:Summarize important points from sessions or keynotes.Work with the team on ROS and who will be handling introductions of speakersNetwork with speakers, sponsors and attendees and garner feedback on speakers, content and overall production of the events.Thought Leadership & Market PresenceServe as a senior voice representing CRA in the cybersecurity ecosystem—guiding market perspective
