Join our team and be a part of an innovative organization looking to make an impact in the way virtual behavioral health services are delivered. **Job Responsibilities:** The Behavioral Health Billing assistant reports to the Billing Supervisor and handles all stages of the revenue cycle management. This includes the following tasks: **Primary Responsibilities:** * Complete insurance benefits verification prior to intake appointments and inform clients of patient responsibility * Obtain pre\-authorizations for services as needed by submitting requests via portal, fax, or phone. * Make daily client phone calls to discuss outstanding balances, inquiries, and concerns. * Respond to client inquiries via phone/email within one hour during business hours. * Helping to resolve denied claims by contacting insurance companies via portals and phone calls as needed. * Reconcile patient accounts, ensuring accuracy in balances and payments. * Sending statements, text to pay links, and missed copay emails * Conduct monthly eligibility checks for all existing clients on the 1st of each month. Verifying the plan details and deductible updates. * Inform patients of any changes to copays, deductibles, or financial responsibilities. * Process and invoice medical records requests as needed. * Perform additional duties as assigned to support the billing team and ensure efficient operations. **REQUIREMENTS:** Must have 1 year experience with Revenue Cycle Management Must have 1 year experience in Behavioral Health Billing Must have experience with Prior Authorizations Must have experience with verifying insurance and knowledge of HMO/PPO/IPA/Medi\-Cal plans Spanish Speaking a plus.
