Accountant

**Job Summary** We are seeking a dynamic and detail oriented Accountant to join our finance team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse financial systems and contribute to our organization’s success through precise accounting practices. **Duties** * Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) * Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections * Utilize financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, Ceridian, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, PeopleSoft, and Paychex to record transactions and generate reports * Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to verify data integrity across various systems like Xero, Sage, and Microsoft Office spreadsheets * Support payroll management activities using systems like ADP or Kronos while ensuring proper tax withholding and compliance with payroll regulations * Assist with internal controls related to SOX (Sarbanes\-Oxley Act) compliance and participate in audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations * Handle confidential information with utmost discretion while performing data entry and bookkeeping tasks for governmental or non\-profit organizations **Experience** * Proven accounting experience with a strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits \& credits, double\-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation * Familiarity with accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, UltiPro or equivalent systems * Experience in corporate or governmental accounting environments is highly desirable * Knowledge of GAAP standards and technical accounting principles required for accurate financial reporting * Prior work involving SOX compliance processes or public accounting is a plus * Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data using Excel data analysis techniques and spreadsheets * Strong numeracy skills combined with excellent attention to detail in data entry and account analysis * Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high levels of accuracy in a fast\-paced environment Join us as we drive excellence in financial management!
