Role PurposeAt Jumio, you will work with one of the global leaders in identity verification technology, helping build secure and reliable digital experiences. As an SDE 2 – QA, you are a software engineer responsible for building scalable automation solutions and ensuring the reliability of both backend services and user-facing applications.In this role you will:Design and develop automation for backend services, REST APIs, and web applicationsBuild and maintain scalable test frameworks and automation infrastructureCollaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure quality across microservices and product featuresContribute to automation, debugging, and engineering improvements across the development lifecycleContinuously write code for automation, service validation, and product quality improvementsRole ValueBy building robust automation frameworks and improving test infrastructure, you play a key role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of Jumio’s identity verification platform.Your work will help:Increase automation coverage across backend services and web applicationsImprove confidence in API integrations and system reliabilityEnable faster and safer product releasesStrengthen overall engineering quality through scalable automation solutionsKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for REST APIs, backend services, and web applicationsBuild automated tests for API validation, service integrations, and data workflowsDevelop web automation tests using Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworksCreate and maintain test strategies, test plans, and automated regression suitesValidate microservices interactions, API contracts, and end-to-end system behaviorCollaborate with developers to ensure strong test coverage and quick resolution of defectsPerform debugging, log analysis, and root cause investigation for system issuesIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous deliveryContinuously improve automation frameworks, tools, and testing processesExperience and QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field3+ years of experience in automation engineering or software development rolesStrong coding skills in Java or JavaScriptHands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent web automation frameworksExperience working with REST APIs and API automation tools such as Postman, REST-assured, or similar frameworksUnderstanding of backend architectures, microservices, and service integrationsBasic familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments and scriptingExperience working in Agile environments and modern SDLC practicesStrong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skillsStrong collaboration and communication skills when working with cross-functional engineering teamsJumio Values:IDEAL: Integrity, Diversity, Empowerment, Accountability, Leading Innovation Equal Opportunities: Jumio is a collaboration of people with different ideas, strengths, interests and cultures.
