Florida Area Safety Manager

We're seeking an Area Safety Manager to join our team, responsible for preparing, reviewing, and implementing site-specific safety plans, as well as supporting project development teams in reviewing pursuits to identify and mitigate SH&E related risk.RequirementsDemonstrate proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and supporting implementation of site-specific safety plans consistent with HDR’s corporate SH&E programSupport project development teams in reviewing pursuits in order to identify, plan for, and mitigate SH&E related riskUnderstand company requirements for safety program implementation and educate and support local safety coordinators in meeting these requirementsDemonstrate proficiency in SH&E auditing, inspection, and incident investigation protocols in field and office settingsBe capable of facilitating and delivering SH&E training, including but not limited to permit-required confined spaces, control of hazardous energy, fall protection, and first aid/CPRDisplay working knowledge of applicable US Federal (i.e., EPA, OSHA, DoD) and/or state rules and regulations, as well as industry consensus standardsParticipate as a member of the area leadership team in supporting and implementing culture initiativesFrequently report leading and lagging safety performance indicator metrics to area operations and business group managementTravel regularly within the assigned geographic area to support projects, field teams, and office locationsBenefitsGenerous Paid Time Off401k MatchingRetirement PlanTuition ReimbursementRelocation AssistanceOriginally posted on Himalayas
