Join our Global Data Strategy and Solutions team to help scale the Enterprise Information Architecture capability. This role will partner closely with the Senior Director to translate strategic vision into execution, ensuring the delivery of trusted, governed, and scalable data products that support critical R&D and enterprise decision-making.The Associate Director, Enterprise Information Architecture will play a key role in shaping and executing data architecture initiatives across Clinical Operations, Safety, Regulatory, and other Enterprise domains. This position will focus on operationalizing architecture standards, supporting major data programs, and advancing Master Data Management (MDM), Reference Data Management (RDM), Data Quality (DQ), and governance initiatives.The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience in modern data platforms and life sciences R&D processes.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Enterprise Information Architecture CapabilityPartner with the Senior Director to scale the Enterprise Information Architecture framework, standards, and best practices.Assist in defining and maintaining enterprise data domains, subdomains, and canonical data models.Ensure alignment of R&D data initiatives with enterprise architecture and governance standards.Drive Execution of Strategic Data InitiativesProvide architectural leadership and execution support for key programsTranslate business requirements into scalable and reusable data products.Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to design end-to-end data solutions supporting analytics and operational use cases.Guide teams in adopting common data models, semantic layers, and architecture patterns.Ensure consistent implementation of Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers within the enterprise data platform.Support the creation and certification of trusted data products for enterprise consumption.Create and review data models and enforce data modelling standards.Lead enterprise Semantic Modelling standard and develop a framework for context engineering.Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional CollaborationAct as a bridge between strategic leadership and execution teams, ensuring alignment and effective delivery of initiatives.Engage with business leaders across Clinical Operations, Safety, Regulatory, and Biometrics to understand and address data needs.Collaborate with the Integration Center of Excellence (CoE) and enterprise architecture teams to promote standardized integration patterns.Innovation & Future-Ready Data EcosystemSupport the adoption of AI/ML and Generative AI by enabling high-quality, well-governed, and AI-ready data assets.Contribute to the evolution of the enterprise data ecosystem through knowledge graphs, semantic models, and advanced analytics.Identify opportunities to enhance data capabilities and drive continuous improvement.Education Required: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information science, computer science, data management, or a related field.Qualifications:BA/BS Degree with 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data management, or analytics within the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry.Proven experience supporting enterprise-scale data and analytics initiatives.Experience with Clinical Development and R&D data domains.Technical SkillsStrong understanding of modern data architectures, including data lakehouse, data mesh, and medallion patterns.Hands-on experience with Databricks and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).Familiarity with MDM/RDM platforms (e.g., Reltio) and data governance/catalog tools (e.g., Informatica, Collibra).Knowledge of data quality frameworks, metadata management, and lineage.Proficiency in SQL and data modeling techniques.Understanding of GxP and regulatory requirements in the life sciences industry.Leadership & Soft SkillsStrong stakeholder management and communication skills.Ability to translate strategic vision into actionable execution.Experience working in cross-functional and global teams.Strategic thinking combined with hands-on problem-solving.Ability to influence and drive adoption of enterprise standards.Global CompetenciesWhen we exhibit our values of Patients First, Driving Excellence, Bold Ingenuity and Collaborative Spirit, through our twelve global competencies below, we help get more affordable medicines to more patients around the world.Fosters TeamworkProvides and Solicits Honest and Actionable FeedbackSelf-AwarenessActs InclusivelyDemonstrates InitiativeEntrepreneuria
