Bookkeeper - CPA Firm

Moore \& Moore CPA is hiring a part\-time bookkeeper to maintain client books, primarily in QuickBooks Online. The current workload is about two to three days a week. This is a strong fit for someone with solid QuickBooks Online experience, or for a retired or semi\-retired accounting professional who wants meaningful work without a full\-time schedule. **About the role** You will keep client books current, accurate, and ready for the firm’s accountants and tax team. Most of the work is remote\-friendly and done in QuickBooks Online, with regular communication with firm staff and, as needed, clients. **Responsibilities** * Record and reconcile transactions in QuickBooks Online * Reconcile bank and credit card accounts * Prepare monthly or periodic financial reports and catch up books when needed * Clean up coding, categories, and open items so the books are review\-ready * Respond to questions from the firm’s accountants and, when appropriate, clients * Follow the firm’s procedures, deadlines, and quality standards **Schedule** Days and hours are flexible and can be arranged around the firm’s workflow and your availability. This is an ongoing part\-time role, not a short\-term project. **Qualifications** * Hands\-on experience with QuickBooks Online * Working knowledge of bookkeeping fundamentals: debits and credits, reconciliations, and basic financial statements * Attention to detail and comfort working independently * Clear written communication * Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred * Prior work in a CPA firm, public accounting, or industry bookkeeping is a plus * Retired or semi\-retired accountants and bookkeepers are encouraged to apply A CPA credential is not required.
