**Job Overview** We are seeking a skilled and motivated Grant Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for our programs and initiatives. This role requires strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. The Grant Writer will play a crucial role in supporting our organization's mission through effective fundraising strategies. **Duties** * Research potential funding opportunities and maintain a database of grants and contracts. * Knowledge of Delaware Grants, RFP process, and Sam.gov/Grants.gov sites * Knowledge of non\-profit fundraising * Write compelling grant proposals that align with the organization's goals and objectives. * Develop and manage budgets for grant proposals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with funder requirements. * Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information for proposal writing and program development. * Edit and proofread grant proposals to ensure clarity, coherence, and adherence to guidelines. * Prepare financial reports and documentation as required by funders. * Engage in strategic planning to identify funding priorities and align them with organizational needs. * Maintain relationships with funders and provide updates on project progress as necessary. **Qualifications** * Proven experience in grant proposal writing, including successful submissions to various funding sources. * Strong technical writing skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly. * Familiarity with fundraising practices, including knowledge of Raiser's Edge or similar databases. * Experience in contract management and understanding of compliance requirements. * Excellent research skills to identify relevant funding opportunities. * Proficient in editing and proofreading written materials for accuracy and quality. * Knowledge of financial report writing and budgeting processes. * Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
