Virtual Accounting and Bookkeeping (Philippines) Supporting an AU-Based ClientWork Hours: Australian business hours, full-time 9am to 6pm (PH)Three Peaks International is a Sydney based staffing solutions partner which provides local and virtual staffing solutions to Australian businesses through outsourcing, recruitment, and migration.Key Responsibilities:Prepare accurate financial statements and Australian tax returns for a portfolio ofclients, including individuals, companies, partnerships, unit trusts, and discretionarytrustsManage and review BAS/IAS/GST preparations and ensure compliance with AustralianTaxation Office (ATO) regulationsHandle and respond to ATO audits and inquiries in a professional mannerAdvise on updates and changes in Australian tax laws and ensure clients are compliantProcess and reconcile invoices, payments, and expenses; perform bank and credit cardreconciliationsAssist with inter-entity transactions, including Div7A and income distributions toshareholders or beneficiariesMaintain and update client accounting records, ledgers, and supporting documentationPrepare and deliver regular financial reports and statements as requiredCommunicate clearly and professionally team members regarding financial mattersStay up to date with accounting regulations, best practices, and software relevant toAustralian taxationRequired Skills & Qualifications:Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in Australian accounting or similar roleBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCPA or CA certification is highly desirableProficient in Australian accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, or similarplatformsStrong knowledge of Australian tax regulations, BAS/IAS/GST, and compliancerequirementsExcellent organizational, time management, and communication skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reportingAbility to work independently, manage multiple client portfolios, and meet deadlinesDesirable Attributes:Experience in handling business group transactions and understanding inter-entitydynamicsFamiliarity with superannuation, Div7A, and SMSF loans is a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsTechnical RequirementsShould have personal and working laptop/ Desktop, and one (1) back upHas Noise-cancelling headset (for interview and meetings)Back up internet connection (at least 100 mbps)Benefits:100% remote work setup.Work-life balance with Australian business hours; no night shiftsCompetitive compensation paid fortnightly via international payment platforms (e.g., Wise)Originally posted on Himalayas
