As a Product Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will contribute to innovation and growth for our market-leading product portfolios while enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. You will manage end-to-end product lifecycle management, from strategy development through commercialization and optimization. Working in a collaborative, global matrix organization, you'll partner with R&D, operations, marketing, sales and other cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional products that solve customer challenges. This role offers meaningful impact and visibility, with opportunities to shape product direction through data-driven insights and strategic thinking.A Day in the Life:
Conduct voice-of-customer research to identify customer needs and market opportunities. Define product requirements, develop business cases, coordinate product launches, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to ensure successful product development and commercialization while supporting business growth objectives.What to expect:Manage product lifecycle activities from concept through commercialization and optimizationPartner with R&D, operations, marketing, sales and other cross-functional teamsGather and synthesize Voice of Customer insights to drive product decisionsDevelop business cases, financial models and go-to-market strategiesCoordinate product launches and commercialization activitiesAnalyze market trends, customer feedback and business performance metricsDrive continuous improvement initiatives across product portfoliosPresent product strategies and recommendations to stakeholders across organizational levelsSupport strategic planning and portfolio management activitiesTravel up to 30%, including international travelKeys to Success:EducationAdvanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree plus 8 years of experience in product management, marketing, or related commercial experience.Preferred fields of study include Life Sciences, Business, Engineering, Marketing or related field.ExperienceProven success in product lifecycle management from concept through commercializationExperience developing and executing product launch strategies and go-to-market plansStrong business acumen with ability to develop compelling business cases and financial modelsExperience working in cross-functional, matrix organizationsKnowledge of relevant scientific/technical domain preferred for specific product linesUnderstanding of quality and regulatory requirements for applicable marketsKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesExcellence in gathering and synthesizing Voice of Customer insightsStrong analytical and data-driven decision making capabilitiesEffective cross-functional collaboration and influencing skillsStrong communication and presentation abilities across all organizational levelsAbility to balance strategic thinking with tactical executionProficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPointProject management skills to coordinate multiple concurrent initiativesCustomer-centric mindset with understanding of market dynamicsCompetenciesStrategic thinking and problem-solvingLeadership and collaborationCustomer focusResults orientationAdaptability and continuous improvement mindsetStrong organizational and prioritization skillsAbility to influence without direct authorityBenefits:
