Accountant - Short Term Rentals

About Us ⁠ Daniels Vacation Properties is a growing luxury vacation rental management company specializing in high\-end lakefront and mountain homes throughout New York and New Jersey. We are looking for a reliable, detail\-oriented Part\-Time Accountant / Bookkeeper to support our financial operations on a flexible weekly basis. This is an ideal side position for an experienced bookkeeper, accountant, or finance professional looking for consistent part\-time work with scheduling flexibility. **Position Overview** * Approximately 5–10 hours per week * Flexible schedule * Remote or hybrid flexibility * Long\-term opportunity with growth potential as the company expands **Responsibilities** * Maintain bookkeeping and financial records in QuickBooks * Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, Stripe payouts, and ACH transactions * Track expenses, reimbursements, vendor payments, and owner distributions * Assist with monthly owner financial statements * Organize and maintain financial documentation * Assist with 1099 preparation and year\-end organization * Help monitor occupancy tax tracking and reporting * Support financial organization and operational workflows * Assist with identifying bookkeeping discrepancies or inefficiencies **Qualifications** * Prior bookkeeping or accounting experience required * QuickBooks experience strongly preferred * Highly organized and detail\-oriented * Strong communication and follow\-through * Ability to work independently * Comfortable working in a fast\-paced small business environment **Preferred Experience** * Property management or short\-term rental accounting * Hospitality or real estate bookkeeping * Stripe/payment processor reconciliations * Multi\-entity bookkeeping **Compensation** Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
