**Overview**
We are seeking a dynamic and detail\-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to lead our accounts payable operations and ensure the smooth processing of all vendor and supplier payments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee a team responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and optimizing payment processes. **Responsibilities**
* Lead and supervise the accounts payable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments.
* Oversee the reconciliation of accounts payable ledger with general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
* Manage vendor relationships, resolve payment discrepancies, and handle inquiries related to invoices and payments.
* Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX (Sarbanes\-Oxley Act) compliance, and company policies across all accounts payable activities.
* Utilize financial software such as Workday, SAP (PeopleSoft), Oracle, or similar systems to process transactions efficiently; leverage Excel data analysis tools including formulas and VLOOKUP functions for reporting.
* Coordinate with other finance functions such as accounts receivable, payroll management, benefits administration, and tax compliance.
* Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger accounting related to payables; support month\-end closing processes.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts payable cycle to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
* Maintain detailed records of all transactions, audits, and compliance documentation for internal review and external audits.
**Qualifications**
* Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on accounts payable management; experience in public accounting is a plus.
* Strong knowledge of accounting systems such as Workday, Paychex, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Sage, or similar platforms.
* Familiarity with financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits \& credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.
* Demonstrated understanding of GAAP standards and SOX compliance requirements.
* Proficiency in Excel data analysis including formulas, VLOOKUP functions, pivot tables, and data entry accuracy.
* Experience with various payroll systems such as Ceridian or ADP is advantageous.
* Excellent analysis skills coupled with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Strong communication skills for vendor interactions and cross\-department collaboration.
