*About the Intertribal Timber Council*
The Intertribal Timber Council (ITC) is a national consortium of American Indian Tribes, Alaska Native Corporations, and individuals dedicated to advancing the management of natural resources for Native communities. ITC promotes sustainable forestry, strengthens tribal sovereignty, and fosters collaboration between Tribes and federal partners. As part of a multi\-year organizational expansion, ITC is building the internal infrastructure needed to support long\-term growth, compliance, and impact.
*Position Summary*
The Administrative Director is a foundational leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing ITC's administrative infrastructure during a critical period of organizational growth. This role provides strategic leadership across finance, human resources, compliance, grants and contracts administration, internal systems, and administrative operations. The Administrative Director will partner closely with the Executive Director to strengthen organizational systems, support expansion strategy, and ensure ITC remains audit\-ready, compliant, and operationally effective. The incumbent will directly shape the organization’s operational backbone, enabling expanded programs, stronger tribal partnerships, and long\-term sustainability. In its 50th year, the Intertribal Timber Council is executing a comprehensive three\-year strategy to expand its organizational capacity. This transition focuses on moving away from reliance on an eleven\-member volunteer Board and instead building a robust internal staff to help close the capacity gap compared with peer intertribal organizations. As part of this multi\-year expansion, the Administrative Director will lead the development of the internal infrastructure required to sustain long\-term growth. The Administrative Director will lead the selection of new office space and administrative staff for the Intertribal Timber Council and help lay the foundation for greater services to member Tribes.
