Job Description

**Job Summary** We are seeking a dynamic and detail\-oriented Certified QuickBooks Advisor to join our financial team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in QuickBooks and related financial software to ensure accurate bookkeeping, financial reporting, and compliance. Your proactive approach will support our organization’s financial health, streamline accounting processes, and provide valuable insights through data analysis. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to diverse projects, mentor team members, and uphold the highest standards of financial integrity. **Responsibilities** * Manage and maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and other accounting software platforms. * Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and reconciliations in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory standards. * Conduct detailed account analysis including balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable management. * Perform journal entries, ledger postings, and double\-entry bookkeeping to ensure precise financial data entry. * Support regulatory compliance accounting efforts such as SOX (Sarbanes\-Oxley Act), LIHTC (Low\-Income Housing Tax Credit), and governmental accounting requirements. * Assist with tax preparation, audit support, and regulatory reporting by providing comprehensive financial documentation. * Mentor junior staff on best practices in accounting software usage, technical accounting concepts, and financial analysis techniques. * Analyze Excel data using functions like VLOOKUP for financial report interpretation and forecasting purposes. * Contribute to budgeting, cash flow analysis, and financial management projects to optimize organizational resources. * Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory compliance standards across all accounting activities. **Skills** * Proven expertise in QuickBooks, Quicken, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, and other financial software tools. * Strong understanding of GAAP, regulatory compliance accounting including SOX requirements, and non\-profit accounting principles. * Extensive experience with general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, accounts payable/receivable management, and balance sheet reconciliation. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—especially Excel—for data analysis using pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions, spreadsheets creation, and report writing. * Knowledge of securities law, Wills \& Trusts \& Estate law is a plus; familiarity with governmental accounting practices is highly desirable. * Ability to interpret complex financial concepts such as accrual accounting, double\-entry bookkeeping, and technical accounting standards. * Excellent analytical skills with a focus on financial report interpretation and financial statement preparation. * Experience with auditing procedures, regulatory reporting requirements incl
