The RoleAs a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at Pipe, you will support the growth and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure - including GCP, Kubernetes, Postgres, and Pulumi. Your work will set the foundations that enable fast, autonomous work across every engineering team. You will collaborate with our Backend Engineering, Security, Data, and IT teams to ensure our infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure.The infrastructure team is a core part of the software engineering org. Our infrastructure is defined as code and has a hand in the stability of every codebase at Pipe. This is a small, dedicated team - success here requires problem-solving with a technically diverse mindset.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure solutions for business-critical applications and servicesCollaborate with engineering teams to ensure infrastructure meets their requirements and is easy to useMaintain a strong security posture through close collaboration with the security team to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulationsMonitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues and drive timely resolutionAutomate infrastructure deployment and management processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual workParticipate in on-call rotation to support critical infrastructure issuesTech StackWe are committed to using the right tools for the problems we are trying to solve. Strong candidates will have hands-on experience with most of these technologies and the technical range to pick up what's new quickly.Technical QualificationsA strong candidate for this role is a skilled programmer who can provision and debug disparate systems regardless of initial familiarity.
