CTO & Late Co-Founder

We are a stealth-stage startup operating in the mobility sector. We have our first customers, early traction, and are currently raising our pre-seed round. The company is led by a repeat founder. We are looking for a technical co-founder to own everything engineering — from AI and data architecture to the product itself. Tasks Design and own the end-to-end data architecture: ingestion, storage, transformation, and serving layers Build AI-powered systems including matching algorithms, dynamic pricing, demand forecasting, and route optimisation Lead full-stack development of the platform, maintaining solid engineering standards across the codebase Drive the ML/AI roadmap from early experimentation through to production at scale Architect backend systems for reliability and scalability as transaction volume grows Oversee API design and third-party integrations (logistics, telematics, payments) Hire and build an engineering team as the company grows Partner with the CEO on fundraising, due diligence, and investor conversations Requirements Must-Haves 3+ years in an engineering leadership or senior tech lead role, ideally at a fast-moving startup or scale-up Strong background in data architecture and engineering: pipelines, warehousing, real-time streaming Hands-on experience with ML/AI systems in production — not just prototypes Solid full-stack fundamentals, comfortable going deep on backend and across the stack when needed Fluent in English (written and verbal) Based in Germany Nice-to-Haves Experience with logistics, marketplace, or two-sided platform products Cloud-native architecture experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) Additional European languages (German especially welcome) Mindset You think in systems but you ship things Hands-on and execution-focused — comfortable doing before delegating High ownership, low ego Energised by the early stage and what comes with it Benefits What You'll Get Co-founder title and a meaningful equity stake Competitive salary structured to reflect the stage Full ownership of the technical direction from day one High learning curve and fast execution cycles The opportunity to shape a significant market from the ground up Ready to build from the ground up?
