What You’ll Do: Hands-on documentation:Write and maintain high-quality technical documentation for Gcore cloud, network, and security productsCreate clear, user-focused content that helps developers successfully adopt and use our servicesReview and edit documentation produced by other writers to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistencyContinuously improve documentation structure, navigation, and usability based on user feedbackTeam leadership:Lead and mentor a small team of technical writers, combining coaching with practical guidanceSet clear priorities, distribute work, and ensure predictable delivery of documentationEstablish and maintain documentation standards, tone of voice, and quality bar across the teamSupport professional growth of team members through feedback and knowledge sharingCross-functional collaboration:Act as the main point of contact for documentation across product, engineering, QA, and support teamsBuild strong working relationships with stakeholders to ensure documentation reflects real product behaviorEmbed documentation into product development and release processesCollect and incorporate feedback from internal teams and usersAI-enabled documentation workflows:Drive the adoption of AI-assisted workflows to improve documentation speed, coverage, and consistencyDesign and maintain pipelines that identify documentation needs from commits, code changes, and release notesUse tools like ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar responsibly, keeping human quality control as a core principleEnsure documentation stays in sync with fast-moving product development cyclesProcess and quality management:Build and evolve documentation-as-code workflows and automationIntroduce automated checks for documentation completeness and qualityDefine and track metrics for documentation usage, effectiveness, and user engagementContinuously improve processes based on data and feedbackWhat We Are Looking For:3+ years of experience in technical writing for cloud services, APIs, or DevOps toolsExperience leading or mentoring other writers, formally or informallyStrong background in documentation-as-code workflows using Git, Markdown, and static site generatorsHands-on experience with API documentation, OpenAPI or Swagger is a strong plusTechnical understanding:Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts, compute, storage, networking, CDN, securityFamiliarity with developer workflows and common infrastructure toolsAbility to quickly learn complex technical products and explain them clearly to different audiencesConfidence working closely with engineers and product managersCommunication and ownership:English C1+ with excellent written communication skillsStrong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence without formal authorityStructured, proactive approach to managing multiple documentation initiativesComfortable balancing strategic improvements with day-to-day executionTools and mindset:Experience with modern documentation platforms and toolchainsPractical experience using AI-assisted writing and automation toolsData-driven mindset, ability to measure impact and iterate based on resultsNice to have:Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or infrastructure tools like Kubernetes and TerraformBackground in software engineering or DevOpsInterest in developer experience and onboarding journeysBenefits:At Gcore, we want you to do your best work and enjoy the journey.
