Job Description
Spacelift is the infrastructure orchestration platform built for the modern software era, managing the full lifecycle for both traditional IaC and AI-accelerated infrastructure. Spacelift was founded in 2020 by long-time DevOps practitioner Marcin Wyszynski and successful entrepreneur Pawel Hytry and has raised $82.3M in funding over four rounds from top venture capital firms including Insight Partners, Blossom Capital, Hoxton Ventures, Inovo Venture partners and Five Elms Capital.The roleBuild and own the platform that powers all of Spacelift - from CI/CD to observability to incident responseImprove our code delivery pipeline: reduce friction, tighten feedback loops, eliminate flakinessStrengthen our SLOs and observability posture - give every team better signalsSharpen our on-call experience by improving alert quality, response speed, and postmortem hygieneOptimise platform cost and scaling behaviour across workloads and regionsOwn developer experience internally: from local dev to debugging productionKeep learning about our problem spaceYou build it, you run it - you will also be part of the on-call rotationAbout YouPassion for building products, love for tech, and interest in the problem space (DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Developer Experience)4+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering, with hands-on experience owning production systemsExperience working with GoYou have built or maintained CI/CD pipelines, observability stacks, or developer-facing toolingYou have been on-call and improved it - not just responded to pages, but fixed root causes and leveled up the processExperience working with an IaC tool - OpenTofu/Terraform, Ansible, AWS CloudFormationYou have excellent communication skillsEager to learn new tools and technologiesStrong product mindset and big-picture thinkingFocused on solving problems, not just completing tasksNice to have:Experience with Claude Code, DatadogPostgreSQL/Aurora optimization experienceHow we workWe move fast.
