Job Description

Savan Group is seeking a Instructional Design & Storyline Specialist to support a federal client in delivering high-quality solutions across training development, process improvement, and broader program support activities. This individual will play a key role in instructional redesign and eLearning development, with a primary focus on modernizing mandatory training programs related to Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Records Management. In parallel, the role will contribute to process development, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts, helping enhance program efficiency, standardization, and overall delivery effectiveness. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in Articulate Storyline 360, along with the ability to work across multiple workstreams, including training development, stakeholder coordination, and operational support. This role requires someone who can translate complex policy and technical requirements into clear, streamlined training content and repeatable processes, while ensuring alignment with Section 508 accessibility standards and federal LMS requirements. Role Responsibilities:Support the design, development, and delivery of training and program support materials aligned to client prioritiesContribute to the development of instructional materials and eLearning modules, including content structuring, storyboarding, and tool-based development (e.g., Articulate Storyline)Translate complex policy, regulatory, and technical information into clear, user-friendly content for diverse audiencesSupport the development and implementation of assessments and knowledge checks to reinforce learning objectives and program outcomesAnalyze existing content, processes, and requirements to identify opportunities for improvement, simplification, and standardizationAssist in the creation and refinement of process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and guidance materials to improve program consistency and effectivenessContribute to continuous improvement efforts, including recommending enhancements to training approaches, processes, and toolsProvide ad hoc support across related contract activities, including research, analysis, and program support tasks as priorities evolvePerform quality assurance and testing to ensure accuracy, functionality, and alignment with requirements across deliverablesEnsure deliverables align with accessibility standards (Section 508 / WCAG) and organizational guidelinesSupport LMS integration, deployment, and content updates as neededCollaborate with stakeholders, SMEs, and team members to gather input, validate outputs, and incorporate feedback across iterative review cyclesManage tasks across multiple concurrent workstreams, balancing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentEstablish and track metrics to evaluate training effectiveness, including knowledge retention, compliance adoption, and user feedbackProvide strategic recommendations to leadership on training improvements, emerging instructional technologies, and workforce readiness needs Qualifications and Requirements: Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree or Master’s in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or related field5+ years of experience in instructional design and eLearning developmentStrong proficiency in Articulate Storyline, including accessibility features, testing, and remediation (required)Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologiesExperience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS)Familiarity with Section 508 / WCAG accessibility standardsStrong writing, editing, and content structuring skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectivelyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsU.S. Citizenship Preferred Qualifications:Experience supporting federal training programs (CUI, Records Management, or compliance training)Familiarity with Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), Confidential Business Information (CBI) or privacy/security programs or regulatory frameworksDHS Section 508 Trusted Tester certification (nice to have, not primary role)Experience with FedTalent or similar federal LMS platformsPublic Trust Clearance or higher Work Location & ScheduleRemote schedule 6-month assignment with potential for extensionApplication Process Submit your application to the link on this page.
