Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Since 2015, we’ve completed many of the world’s first digital commerce transactions, including the first online real estate closing, online mortgage closing, online auto sale, and online will and we're still just getting started!We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to help build and maintain Proof's products.What you'll do as a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer at Proof:Collaborate with Product and Network and Agent Experience team engineers to design, create, and maintain features for Proof's customers and usersWrite quality code with a high degree of autonomy, meeting standards for performance and reliabilityUse AI tools in your day-to-day coding, review, and deployment processes to work more effectively and deliver a quality experience for our customersDrive project scoping activities and discussions around requirements and trade-offsTroubleshoot complex technical issues in production, pertaining to team's areas of ownershipDrive improvements, collaboration, and best practices through code reviews and mentoringProactively write and maintain technical documentationParticipate in production on-call rotation several times a year, after receiving in-depth trainingWhat we're looking for:5+ years experience building complex, customer-facing web applications using Ruby on Rails and ReactExperience with electronic signature, identity verification, or online notarization products preferredFamiliarity with regulated or compliance-heavy product environments preferredConcern for quality and enthusiasm for writing unit and integration testsA willingness to learn any part of the stack: back-end services, data layer, web interfaces, APIs, 3rd party integrations, cloud infrastructure and so onComfort with adapting to new technology and new opportunitiesA sense of ownership over the code you write, from technical design through to productionBias towards action and solutionsThe ability to work independently on well-defined problems while knowing when to ask for helpEffective communication and active listening skills, with a thoughtful, collaborative approach to problem-solvingYou'll really stand out if you have:Experience with GraphQL and AWSOur tech:Proof platform's back-end is Ruby on Rails, Postgres SQL, Redis, hosted on AWS.
