**Job Description**
ProactiveRISK is a growing cybersecurity and managed services firm supporting regulated industries including legal, healthcare, and professional services.
We are seeking a skilled and customer‑focused **Microsoft IT Support Technician / Helpdesk Engineer** to provide day‑to‑day technical support for our clients. This is a **high‑impact role**—you are part of the team that clients rely on when they need help, guidance, and fast resolution.
This position involves **remote support from our Denville, NJ office** as well as **onsite client visits** when required.
**Key Responsibilities**
Client Helpdesk \& Support
* Provide Tier 1–2 technical support to clients via phone, email, and remote tools
* Troubleshoot and resolve Microsoft 365, email, workstation, and connectivity issues
* Deliver timely, professional, and empathetic client support
* Escalate issues appropriately while maintaining ownership through resolution
Microsoft \& Cloud Technologies
* Support and administer:
* Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint)
* Microsoft Exchange 365
* Microsoft Hypervisor / Hyper‑V (basic support)
* Microsoft Lighthouse (MSP tenant management)
* Assist with user onboarding/offboarding and license management
* Support and enforce security and access policies
Apple \& Endpoint Management
* Support MacOS and Apple devices in business environments
* Work with:
* Apple Business Manager
* MDM solutions
* Assist with device enrollment, configuration, and troubleshooting
Tools \& Platforms
* Remote monitoring and management using **NinjaOne**
* Documentation and knowledge base maintenance in **Hudu**
* Assist with automation, scripting, and process improvement where applicable
Networking \& Infrastructure (Basic)
* Troubleshoot basic networking issues:
* Ubiquiti networking equipment
* Fortinet firewalls and access points
* Understand VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and basic firewall rules
* Coordinate with senior engineers for advanced network issues
Generative AI \& Modern IT Practices
* Use and support Generative AI tools such as:
* Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI ChatGPT, Anthropic Claude
* Leverage AI internally to improve efficiency and documentation
**Client \& Professional Expectations**
* Serve as a trusted technical resource for clients
* Communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical users
* Represent ProactiveRISK professionally during onsite visits and meetings
* Maintain accurate ticket notes and documentation
**Required Qualifications**
* Experinced IT support or helpdesk experience (MSP experience preferred)
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows environments
