Learn more at ourassistants.com.About the RoleWe are looking for a detail-oriented Property Management Accountant to support financial operations for U.S.-based property management clients. The ideal candidate has a strong background in property accounting, including rent ledgers, reconciliations, financial reporting, and compliance. This role requires solid experience with AppFolio and QuickBooks, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage accounting tasks independently in a remote setup.Key ResponsibilitiesManage rent ledgers, tenant payments, and account reconciliations.Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions.Prepare monthly financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and P&L reports.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow tracking.Maintain compliance with U.S. property management accounting standards and procedures.Review financial variances and resolve discrepancies.Coordinate with property managers to support monthly and year-end closing tasks.Maintain digital financial files and ensure documentation accuracy.Qualifications & RequirementsAt least 2 years of experience in property management accounting.Strong proficiency in AppFolio and QuickBooks.Strong knowledge of rent ledgers, reconciliations, AP/AR, and property financial reporting.Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a remote environment.CPA or U.S. Accounting Certification (preferred but not required).Additional RequirementsMust be currently residing in Latin America.Must have a stable internet connection and a remote-ready workstation.Compensation and BenefitsCompetitive salaryPermanent remote work setupProfessional development and training opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative work cultureOriginally posted on Himalayas
