The preferred candidate should be based in Latin America, preferably working in hours that align to PT (Pacific Timezone) or ET (Eastern Timezone). Candidates located in Santiago, Chile are able to work out of our Santiago office as remote/hybrid employees. Candidates located outside of Santiago, Chile will be fully remote employees.THE ROLE:As a Product Design Lead, you'll play a critical role in orchestrating complex design projects from start to finish while providing leadership and oversight to design teams. Reporting into the Experience team, you will be responsible for managing multiple client engagements and accounts, leading UX/Creative/Design System efforts, and ensuring high-quality design deliverables align with project objectives and client brand guidelines. You will help drive design innovation, mentor team members, and contribute to the growth of the design practice through thought leadership.RESPONSIBILITIESDesign Leadership & ExecutionLead and support design teams in creating high-quality screen designs and prototypes for multiple products and client engagementsEnsure final design deliverables meet Apply Digital's quality standards and align with client brand guidelinesLead conversations about design deliverables and their creation, implementation, and maintenanceCreate, edit, and follow brand, UX and design systems best practices without support, establishing frameworks for team consistencyClient & Account ManagementManage multiple client engagements and accounts simultaneouslyLead significant client-facing projects and meetings with autonomyDemonstrate ability to gain cooperation with peers and cross-functional teams to address issues and opportunitiesPresent design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and clients with clarity and confidenceTeam Development & MentorshipManage UX and design team members from a professional growth perspectiveProvide coaching, mentorship, and guidance to designers at various levelsConduct regular feedback sessions and support career development of team membersShare insights and expertise through thought leadership initiatives within the teamStrategic Contribution & InnovationCreate and execute tactical design plans for projects and multiple work streams that align with strategyContribute to the growth of the design practice through internal and external leadership contentLead design innovation initiatives while establishing creative thinking frameworksStay up-to-date with design trends, best practices, and emerging technologiesREQUIREMENTS6+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with demonstrated progression in leadership rolesStrong portfolio showcasing leadership of complex, multi-product design projectsExpert proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and other industry-standard design toolsDeep expertise in brand and design systems creation, implementation, and governanceProven ability to manage multiple client accounts and engagements simultaneouslyStrong leadership and mentorship capabilities with experience managing team membersExcellent communication and presentation skills for client-facing interactionsAbility to resolve complex design challenges in creative and effective waysExperience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with developers, strategists, and product managersDemonstrated ability to exercise wide latitude in determining objectives an
