Financial Controller

Join us to contribute your expertise in shaping our financial future and supporting our organizational goals. **Duties** * Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), ensuring accuracy and compliance. * Oversee all aspects of accounting operations including general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing. * Manage cash flow, cash management strategies, and forecasting to optimize liquidity and financial stability. * Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes\-Oxley Act) controls, governmental regulations, and nonprofit accounting standards as applicable. * Conduct balance sheet reconciliation, review financial reports writing, and perform detailed account analysis to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement. * Supervise regulatory reporting requirements related to nonprofit or governmental funding sources, ensuring timely submissions. * Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial data across all systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or other financial software. * Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial activities. * Support budgeting processes by preparing detailed forecasts and variance analyses to inform strategic decision\-making. * Lead technical accounting initiatives including double entry bookkeeping, debits \& credits management, and complex journal entries. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes through automation or system upgrades to enhance efficiency. **Requirements** * Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role within nonprofit, governmental, or public accounting environments. * Extensive knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, SOX compliance standards, and regulatory reporting requirements. * Strong expertise in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or equivalent platforms; proficiency in financial management tools is essential. * Demonstrated ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation with precision. * Solid understanding of cash management strategies, budgeting techniques, forecasting methods, and financial concepts. * Experience managi
