Instead, it leads through influence, clear prioritization, and disciplined decision-making within a shared portfolio operating model that includes:A centralized Growth functionA portfolio-level Director of Planning & InsightsShared Product and Engineering leadershipThe General Manager, Joist owns business outcomes. Growth owns experimentation. Planning & Insights owns commitment discipline.Key Responsibilities:Business OwnershipandAccountabilityOwn Joist revenue, retention, engagement, and profitability outcomesAccept or reject business commitments within the portfolio planning cadenceTranslate growth insights into credible, deliverable business commitmentsTake accountability for performance variance and corrective actionStrategy & PrioritizationDefine and evolve the Joist business strategySet clear priorities and sequencing across initiativesMake explicit trade-offs when capacity is constrainedAlign investments with portfolio-level objectivesCross-FunctionalLeadershipAlign Product, Engineering, Marketing, Growth, and Support around business prioritiesNegotiate capacity and timelines at peer level with functional leadersAct as the final business decision-maker for Joist trade-offsEnsure execution maps directly to committed business objectivesPartnership with GrowthandPaymentsPartner with the Head of SaaS Growth to evaluate and adopt scalable growth initiativesCollaborate with the Payments Business Owner to align monetization strategyRepresent Joist priorities within horizontal initiativesOperating Within the Portfolio SystemPartner with the Director of Planning & Insightsto set credible commitmentsParticipate in weekly commitment reviews and monthly business reviewsSurface risks early and make clear recommit / decommit decisionsContribute to quarterly OKRs and semi-annual strategic planningQualifications:10+ years in SaaS leadership roles with accountability for business-level outcomesExperience owning revenue, retention, or P&L resultsDemonstrated ability to negotiate cross-functional capacity without direct authorityExperienceoperatingwithin structured planning and performance cadencesStrong commercial judgment and trade-off disciplineComfort making decisions under uncertaintyExcellent executive communication skillsBonus: Experience in PLG SaaS or SMB SaaS environmentsBonus: Experienceoperatingwithin a portfolio or matrixed structurePersonal Characteristics:Smart and curious.Clear decision-maker who accepts accountabilityComfortable making explicit trade-offsStructured thinker who values planning disciplineInfluential but not politicalHigh ownership mentalityCalm under ambiguity and varianceCompensation: EverCommerce considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, candidate’s work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.EverCommerceis an equal opportunity employer, and we value diversity at our company.
