Government Contract Bid Writer (Remote, 1099)

*What is the role?* We’re hiring a Government Contract Bid Writer to support proposals for state, local, education and some federal government contracts. This role is ideal for a writer interested in government contracting, proposal development, and client\-facing work, with strong support from our internal Contract Success Lab backend team. You’ll help clients identify contract opportunities, support bid strategy discussions, review bid documents, come up with a strategy, build out bid documents and contribute to high\-quality, compliant proposal submissions. *What You’ll Do* \- Writing and editing of government proposals (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs) \- Draft sections such as company capabilities, management approach, and past performance \- Review solicitations to identify requirements, deadlines, and submission instructions \- Maintain compliance checklists and response matrices with CSL guidance \- Assist with proposal formatting and submission readiness \- Participate in client meetings alongside the Contract Success team \- Help review contract opportunities and document fit, risks, and timelines \- Track multiple bids and clients using internal tools *What We’re Looking For* \- 6 months–2 years of experience in proposal, technical, or structured writing \- Project Management skills are required \- A true collaborator.
