Job Description

This is a remote position.Virtual Rockstar is hiring aInsurance Claims & AR Specialist Virtual Assistanton behalf of a therapy practice to support accounts receivable, claim follow-ups, and insurance resolution.This role is ideal for someone with a strong medical billing background who is proactive, detail-oriented, and persistent in resolving unpaid claims. You will play a key role in ensuring claims are followed up in a timely manner and paid as quickly as possible.About the PracticeThis therapy practice is dedicated to helping individuals improve their quality of life through personalized, compassionate care. The team focuses on providing high-quality therapy services that support recovery, mobility, and overall well-being.With a patient-centered approach, the practice emphasizes strong relationships, effective communication, and delivering consistent, results-driven care to the communities they serve.Key ResponsibilitiesInsurance Claims Follow-Up & AR ManagementFollow up on unpaid claims over 30 days by contacting insurance companies via phone or portalsInvestigate reasons for delayed or denied payments and take appropriate actionSubmit required documentation such as medical records and primary EOBs to support claimsPrepare and submit appeals for denied or underpaid claimsEnsure all claims are resolved and paid within a timely manner (goal: before 60 days)Track claim status and maintain accurate documentation of all follow-upsWork closely with internal team members to resolve billing issues efficientlySystems & ToolsEMR and insurance portalsFax systems for documentation submission RequirementsNon-NegotiablesMedical background with a strong understanding of insurance billing and claims processesExperience with claim follow-ups, denials, and appealsMust have a dual-monitor setup (2 screens) for efficiencySchedule flexibility:• Training/Onboarding: 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM Central •Starting June 1: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CentralAdditional QualificationsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and take ownership of tasksHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneouslyPersistent and results-driven mindset BenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experience.Opportunities for professional development and growth.Work in a dynamic and supportive team environment.Make a meaningful impact by helping to build and strengthen families in the Philippines.
