Job Requisition ID #26WD97786Position OverviewAutodesk's Technical Advisory organization is building a digital consulting platform powered by implementation expertise captured from hundreds of enterprise engagements. The Principal Solution Development Manager will orchestrate that production.Reporting to the Senior Manager, Content & Knowledge within Global Delivery & Solutions, you will manage the end-to-end content production pipeline: taking requirements from product managers, subject matter experts, and platform colleagues, sourcing content from internal consultants and external vendors, managing production through to completion, and validating the result directly with customers. You are not the primary content creator — you ensure the right content gets built by the right people, on time, to standard. In the first year, you will establish the content production workflow, build the contributor network of internal SMEs and external vendors, publish customer-facing platform content and positioning materials, and run customer validation sessions that create a feedback loop between what we publish and what customers actually need.ResponsibilitiesContent Production ManagementIntake content requirements from subject matter experts, product managers, and other platform colleagues and translate them into production plans with clear scope, timelines, and acceptance criteriaSource and manage content contributors across multiple channels: internal consultants and SMEs, external vendors, and contractorsDevelop and maintain content briefs, production standards, and quality gates that enable consistent output regardless of who produces the contentManage contributor relationships including scoping, contracting, and quality reviewTrack and report on pipeline throughput: what's in progress, what's blocked, what's delivered, what's nextMaintain momentum across concurrent production workstreams — identifying blockers early and escalating when neededCustomer Validation and FeedbackPlan and run customer validation sessions to test whether published content meets real customer needs and implementation scenariosDesign repeatable validation workflows and standards that can be executed by others — consultants, product managers, or delivery teams — so validation scales beyond any single personSynthesize customer feedback into actionable inputs: what content needs improving, what's missing, what should be retiredFeed validation insights back to product management and the content production pipeline to drive continuous improvementCross-Functional CoordinationWork with the Content & Knowledge team to understand what knowledge is available, how it’s structured, and what’s ready for customer-facing productionPartner with solution product managers to stay aligned on content requirements and prioritiesCoordinate with GTM on sales and positioning material needs, ensuring alignment between platform content and how offerings are presented to marketContribute actively in team meetings — sharing progress, offering input on team decisions, and supporting colleaguesMinimum Qualifications8+ years of experience in content program management, content operations, professional services delivery, or consulting with progressive responsibilityExperience managing content production across multiple contributor types — internal subject matter experts, external vendors, and contractorsExperience engaging directly with enterprise customers for content or product validationStrong project and program management skills with ability to manage parallel workstreams, competing priorities, and diverse contributor schedulesAbility to develop clear content standards and quality criteria for both internal and external contributorsBachelor's degree in communications, business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experienceThe Ideal CandidateHas managed content production programs where they orchestrated others' work rather than creating content themselvesHas experience working with technical subject matter experts who have deep knowledge but limited availability for content creationHas run customer validation sessions or user research for content, products, or services and can translate qualitative feedback into production decisionsHas familiarity with architecture, engineering, construction, operations (AECO), manufacturing, or media and entertainment industriesUnderstands how content production fits into a broader product and platform strategyIs highly organized and comfortable managing multiple concurrent production tracks with different contributor types and timelinesLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
