The Role at a Glance
As the AVP, Director of Relationship Management, you will provide leadership, direction, and functional expertise to ensure RPS (Retirement Plan Services) departmental results for assigned area(s). You will strategically develop and direct, maintain, and execute complex and robust client relationship management programs/plans which ensure that the clients’ overall service needs are satisfied. You will also direct and motivate your team of Relationship Managers and set strategic priorities and activities within the region which will lead to an increase in sales, revenue, and market share.

* Lead and mentor a high performing, tenured team of Relationship Managers
* Ensure that top talent is hired and retained
* Direct, establish and implement priorities, performance goals and objectives to ensure departmental results
* Direct and evaluate departmental performance and take appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards
* Provides strategic leadership and direction to continually improve the capability and results, including strategically developing, maintaining, and executing complex and robust client relationship management programs/plans ensuring internal/external clients' overall service needs are satisfied \& achieve the business, retention and profitability objectives
What we’re looking for
**Must\-haves:**
* 10\+ Years’ experience in relationship management that directly aligns with responsibilities
* 3\+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience including influencing senior management/critical stakeholders experience
* Proven strong working knowledge of retirement plans
* Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical discussions/presentations
* Ability to successfully hire, retain, develop and coach staff via a culture of real\-time performance feedback, with ability to build both technical and leadership skills
* Proven track record of strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches
* Strong ability to finds common ground and can gain collaboration among senior management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding
* 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
