For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.Who The Client Is: Our client is an Australian e-commerce business that supplies tattoo equipment, consumables, and accessories to artists and studios across the country. They also run industry events throughout the year. This is a small, hands-on team where your work will have a direct impact on how the business runs day to day.Role Overview: Our client is looking for a reliable, experienced E-Commerce & Admin Assistant to support the business across Shopify operations, general administration and event logistics. The right person will be organised, comfortable working independently, and confident with e-commerce platforms and standard business tools.Key Responsibilities: Shopify & E-CommerceManage product listings including tags, descriptions and page updates in ShopifyConduct competitor and pricing analysis to keep product pricing competitiveResearch new products, suppliers and market trendsSupport general Shopify backend maintenance and housekeepingGeneral AdministrationDraft and send emails including payment reminders, customer follow-ups and supplier correspondenceOrganise and maintain data in Google Sheets with clean, structured formattingManage files and documentation in Google DriveCreate and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for recurring tasksEvent Coordination SupportResearch and provide pricing on flights, accommodation and logistics for staff attending eventsCoordinate event admin through Jotform including applicant communications and approval workflowsSupport event planning tasks as directed by the teamAI & AutomationHelp set up automated email responses and workflows using Jotform and ZapierAssist with building FAQ templates and automated customer responses using AI tools such as ChatGPTIdentify opportunities to streamline repetitive tasks through simple automationRequirements2-3+ years experience in a similar e-commerce admin or virtual assistant roleHands-on experience with Shopify (product management, backend navigation)Strong proficiency with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive)Excellent written English and clear, professional email communicationOrganised and detail-oriented with the ability to present data cleanlyComfortable working independently with minimal supervisionFamiliarity with Zapier, Jotform or similar automation and form tools is a plusExperience with AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT) for content or workflow support is a plusWork Arrangement & Expectations:This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client workReflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor”)Originally posted on Himalayas
