Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Sales Compensation Advanced Analyst to support the design, administration, and optimization of global sales compensation programs.This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate commission calculation, operational scalability, and alignment between sales incentives and company growth objectives in a complex, global SaaS environment.The ideal candidate brings strong experience in commission systems, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to operate both strategically and operationally.ResponsibilitiesCommission Operations & ExecutionCalculate monthly and quarterly commissions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and audit readinessValidate commissionable transactions, including new bookings, renewals, upsell/cross-sell, and adjustmentsManage exception handling, including clawbacks, givebacks, credit adjustments, and dispute resolutionSupport pay file preparation and payroll submissionsPlan Administration & System ManagementTranslate compensation plans into system logic, including quotas, tiered structures, accelerators, and incentivesMaintain and optimize sales compensation systems (e.g., Xactly, CaptivateIQ, Varicent, or similar tools)Partner with Sales Operations to ensure accurate hierarchy, territory, and crediting structuresSupport quota letter generation and plan documentationReporting, Analytics & InsightsProduce regular reporting on attainment, commissions, and cost of salesPerform variance analysis and identify trends or anomalies in commission resultsProvide insights to leadership on plan effectiveness and sales behaviorSupport forecasting and accrual processes in partnership with FinanceControls, Compliance & AuditEnsure compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and accounting standardsMaintain strong controls over data integrity, adjustments, and payout approvalsSupport internal and external auditsCross-Functional CollaborationPartner closely with: Sales Operations (quota, territory, hierarchy)Human Resources (eligibility, employee lifecycle changes)Finance and Accounting (accruals, reporting, compliance)Order Management (booking and revenue validation)Serve as a point of contact for sales compensation inquiries and escalationsContinuous Improvement & TransformationIdentify opportunities to reduce manual processes and improve automationSupport system implementations, migrations, and user acceptance testing (UAT)Contribute to evolving compensation design as the business scalesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field4–7+ years of experience in sales compensation, finance, or sales operations, preferably in SaaSStrong understanding of commission structures, including tiered plans, quotas, and acceleratorsExperience with sales compensation tools (e.g., Xactly, CaptivateIQ, Varicent, Oracle Incentive Compensation)Advanced Excel skills, including modeling, reconciliation, and large dataset analysisStrong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detailPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting global compensation programs across multiple regionsFamiliarity with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other data and reporting toolsExperience with system implementations or process transformation initiativesUnderstanding of SaaS metrics such as ARR, ACV, churn, and expansion revenueKey CompetenciesStrong analytical and data-driven mindsetHigh degree of accountability and ownershipEffective communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to manage complexity and ambiguityContinuous improvement and automation mindsetWhy This Role MattersThis role directly supports sales productivity, financial accuracy, and operational scalability by ensuring compensation programs are executed accurately, trusted by the field, and aligned to company growth objectives.Why Join One Identity-Collaborate with talented, driven professionals who are passionate about technology and customer outcomes-Gain exposure to enterprise-grade sales, partners, and complex deal cycles-Develop end-to-end sales skills, not just top-of-funnel activity-Enjoy real ownership, visibility, and clear pathways for career growth-Benefit from a culture that values innovation, teamwork, wellbeing, and performanceCompany DescriptionOne Identity enables organizations of all sizes to better secure, manage, monitor, protect, and analyze information and infrastructure to help fuel innovation and drive their businesses forward.
