Job Description
**Job Summary**
We are seeking a detail\-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. Your expertise in various accounting software and financial concepts will help ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and streamline our bookkeeping processes. **Responsibilities**
* Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
* Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy of financial data.
* Process journal entries, including debits \& credits, to record all financial transactions accurately.
* Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections.
* Reconcile balance sheets and perform account reconciliations regularly to verify data integrity.
* Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations through accurate tax experience handling.
* Assist with governmental accounting requirements and prepare financial reports in accordance with GAAP standards.
* Conduct budget analysis and support financial report writing to aid decision\-making processes.
* Perform month\-end closing procedures, including general ledger reconciliation and double\-entry bookkeeping tasks.
* Handle accounts payable/receivable inquiries, process invoices, and prepare necessary documentation for audits or reviews.
**Skills**
* Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, or equivalent platforms.
* Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and non\-profit accounting practices.
* Knowledge of governmental accounting standards and public accounting procedures.
* Experience with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger accounting.
* Familiarity with GAAP standards, double\-entry bookkeeping, debits \& credits, and financial concepts.
* Ability to perform detailed account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation accurately.
* Excellent organizational skills including 10 key typing proficiency for data entry tasks.
* Strong communication skills for financial report writing and collaboration with team members.
* Technical expertise in payroll processing, tax compliance, and financial software management.
