Join Planet and be a part of our mission to change the way people see the world.Planet is a global company with employees working remotely world wide and joining us from offices in San Francisco, Washington DC, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, and The Netherlands.About the Role: As a Customer Success Manager II for EMEA Civil Government, you will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with a diverse range of public sector entities across the DACH region within Europe. This includes national/central governments, regional authorities, local municipalities, and key supranational organizations (e.g., Space agencies, Union bodies, and UN programmes).You will help customers in the designated region to maximize the value of Planet’s imagery and geospatial solutions, ensuring that they can effectively integrate Planet data into their workflows for critical applications such as environmental monitoring, emergency response, land management, maritime surveillance, and sustainable development.The ideal candidate is a native-level German speaker with a track record of navigating the complexities of German governmental structures. You possess a deep understanding of public sector procurement cycles and the political acumen to build high-level connections across ministries and directorates. Your ability to bridge diverse organizational cultures and identify key stakeholders will be essential in driving the adoption and long-term impact of Planet’s initiatives.This is a temporary, full-time position and is expected to last 12 months. This position is remote and based in Germany. If located near an office, you are expected to work from that office 3 days per week.Impact You’ll Own:Build and maintain strong relationships with government customers, ensuring they achieve their mission objectives using Planet’s products.Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts and collaborate with sales teams to drive renewals and upsells.Work closely with customers to facilitate training, onboarding, and best practices on integrating Planet data into GIS and remote sensing workflows.Act as the voice of the customer internally, advocating for feature enhancements and product improvements based on feedback.Work closely with sales, product, and marketing teams to support customer needs, case studies, and events.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to share insights on the current status of key accounts and contribute to the development of strategies for future success.What You Bring:6+ years of experience in Customer Success, account management or similar, ideally experience supporting government organizations as a customerBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant fieldAdvanced working knowledge of remote sensing, GIS or geospatial imagery productsAbility to develop long-term strategic plans for each customer that align with their policy goals, project timelines, and budget cyclesA forward-thinking approach to identify potential challenges and the ability to guide conversations toward positive outcomesSolid organizational skills to manage multiple customers at once, prioritize tasks, and keep projects on trackAbility to successfully communicate and coordinate with international customers & sales teamsSolid problem solving skills, proactive work style and ability to work independentlyAbility to translate customer challenges into solutions using Planet’s data and servicesProfessional working proficiency in English, the language of the companyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWillingness to travelWhat Makes You Stand Out:Experience with platforms like ArcGIS, QGIS, or Google Earth EngineWorking proficiency in another European language (Spanish, Italian)Previous Program/Project Management experienceExperience with Public Procurement and Tender ProcessesApplication Deadline:June 24, 2026 by 11:59p / 23:59 CET (Central European Time)Benefits While Working at Planet:These offerings are dependent on employment type and geographical location, based upon applicable law or co
