The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise and leadership capabilities, and will help scale processes, strengthen financial operations, and drive business performance. This position reports directly to the VP of Finance. Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversee the preparation of all necessary financial statements, and partner with FP&A Manager to ensure that all financial reporting is accurate and timelyOwn management of cash balances and any potential lines of creditPartner with FP&A manager on forecasting of cash needsCompletion of annual audit and coordination with auditors on technical mattersSupervise tax consultants in maintaining partnership accounts, K-1s, partner communications and managing partnership filings/compliance and sales & usage tax filingsLiaison with corporate tax team of parent to transition preparation of income tax provision and other tax related entries for GAAP accountingManage the processing of all accounts payables and receivables, including application of cash receiptsMonitor the accuracy of financial data and ensure that all financial transactions are properly recordedDevelop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulationsPartner with VP – Finance and FP&A Manager to provide financial guidance and support to department heads, and ensure that all financial decisions are in alignment with the organization’s strategic goalsSupervise and mentor team of 3Requirements and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related fieldMinimum of 8 years of experience in accounting and finance preferredCertified Public Accountant (CPA) licenseAdvanced knowledge of GAAP and federal and state tax lawsStrong organizational and time management skillsAble to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholdersPreferred QualificationsExperience with large ERP (such as Workday or SAP)Experience working for a technology development companyLed/participated in implementation of an ERPLed design of processes and procedures for material aspects of an accounting departmentCandidate must be able to submit verification of his/her legal right to work in the U.S., without company sponsorship.Salary Range: $160,000 - $180,000About BRGBRG combines world-leading academic credentials with world-tested business expertise and purpose-built emerging technologies.
