Certified Veterinary Assistant (2+ Years Experience Required)

**Job Summary** Coastal Medical Training Institute is seeking a **Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA)** with at least **2 years of hands\-on clinical experience** to support our growing Veterinary Assistant training program. This role is ideal for someone who not only understands veterinary procedures but can also help guide and support students entering the field. **Responsibilities** * Assist in developing and reviewing Veterinary Assistant course content * Provide guidance and support to students (email and/or virtual sessions) * Demonstrate and explain proper animal handling and restraint techniques * Assist with instruction on: * Blood collection and lab procedures * Basic pharmacology and medication administration * Surgical prep and sterile techniques * Participate in scheduled Zoom training sessions 2 nights per week **Qualifications** * **Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA) required** * Minimum **2 years of clinical experience** in a veterinary setting * Strong knowledge of: * Animal behavior and restraint * Laboratory procedures (CBC, urinalysis, fecal exams) * Infection control and safety protocols * Comfortable teaching or explaining concepts to beginners * Strong communication and professionalism **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience in training, teaching, or mentoring * Familiarity with online learning platforms or virtual instruction * Experience with small animal practice (large animal a plus) Pay: $25\.00 \- $30\.00 per hour Work Location: Remote
