About the Role We're looking for an experienced Bookkeeper who enjoys owning client relationships—not just entering transactions. You'll manage a portfolio of clients across multiple industries, ensuring their books are accurate, payroll is processed on time, sales tax filings are completed correctly, and clients receive exceptional service. What You'll Do * Own bookkeeping for a portfolio of small and medium\-sized business clients * Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online * Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations * Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows * Process payroll using Gusto and other payroll platforms * Prepare and remit sales tax filings across multiple jurisdictions * Review financial statements for accuracy and identify unusual activity * Communicate directly with clients to answer questions, request information, and provide outstanding service * Collaborate with tax and advisory teams to ensure complete and accurate financial records * Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements * Leverage AI tools to improve efficiency and accuracy while maintaining exceptional quality standards What We're Looking ForRequired * **5\+ years of bookkeeping experience** * Experience managing bookkeeping for **multiple clients across multiple industries** (public accounting, bookkeeping firms, CAS practices, or outsourced accounting firms strongly preferred) * Advanced experience with **QuickBooks Online** * Experience processing payroll through **Gusto** and/or other payroll platforms * Experience preparing and remitting sales tax returns * Strong understanding of accrual accounting, reconciliations, month\-end close, and financial statements * Excellent organizational and time management skills * Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills * Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment * High attention to detail and commitment
