This role sits at the intersection of HR, IT, Payroll, Legal and Finance, driving system improvements, process automation, and reporting capabilities across the employee lifecycle.As a highly hands-on individual contributor, you will manage Workday configuration, workflows, reporting, and data governance, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience. This role is critical to ensuring People systems are scalable, reliable, and aligned to business growth.What You’ll Do:Own day-to-day administration and ongoing optimization of Workday (HCM, Benefits, US Payroll, and more)Configure and maintain workflows, security roles, organizational structures, and business processes – such as employee reviews, goal setting, etc.Partner with People Ops, Payroll, Finance, Legal and IT to support system needs and cross-functional processesBuild and maintain reports and dashboards to support People insights and operational needsEnsure data integrity and governance, including audits, validations, and cleanup initiativesTroubleshoot system issues and manage enhancements, releases, and updatesDocument system processes, standards, and configurationsIdentify and implement automation and process improvements to reduce manual workSupport integrations with external systems (payroll, benefits, etc.)Partner on audit readiness and compliance requirements related to HR systemsWho You Are:A systems-minded operator who enjoys improving workflows and solving technical problemsDetail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and system integrityCollaborative and able to work across technical and non-technical stakeholdersProactive and solutions-oriented with a continuous improvement mindsetWhat You’ve Done:4–7 years of experience in Workday administrationHands-on experience with Workday configuration (business processes, security, reporting, EIB loads and integration support)Experience supporting HR, Payroll, or People Ops processes through systemsStrong understanding of data structures, reporting, and system workflowsExperience working cross-functionally with HR, IT, Finance, and Payroll teamsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceCurrently, Cart.com does not intend to hire candidates who will need, now or in the future, Cart.com sponsorship through any non-immigrant visa category such as the H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, O-1, or TN.All hiring is contingent on eligibility to work in the United States.
