Bookkeeper

**Part\-Time Bookkeeper (Non\-Exempt Hourly Employee)** **Zion Lutheran Church** is seeking a dependable, detail\-oriented individual for a **paid part\-time Bookkeeper** position. **Position Details** * **Most bookkeeping duties may be completed remotely. The successful applicant must be available to come to the church at least once each month and occasionally as needed for meetings with the Pastor, document handling, and general coordination.** * **Approximately 8–12 hours per month**, with additional hours during year\-end reporting and budget preparation. * Flexible scheduling based on mutual availability * **$40–$50 per hour**, based on qualifications and experience * Friendly, faith\-centered work environment * Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check. **Qualifications** * **Two or more years of bookkeeping experience** * Proficient in **QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Google Drive** * Strong computer and organizational skills * Excellent attention to detail * Good written and verbal communication skills * Ability to work independently and maintain strict confidentiality **Primary Responsibilities** * Record all income and expenses in **QuickBooks Online** * Reconcile bank accounts monthly * Assist the Treasurer with the preparation of monthly financial reports for the Church Council * Prepare financial records for the annual financial review or audit * Coordinate regularly with the Church Treasurer * Assist with preparation of the annual church budget * Maintain confidential financial and personnel records in accordance with church policies * **Payroll processing and contribution tracking are not part of this position’s responsibilities.** * **The Bookkeeper reports directly to the Pastor and works closely with the Church Treasurer.** **To Apply** Please send a résumé or letter of interest to: **Pastor Roger** Pastorroger@zionclarencecenter.com or contact through Indeed. **Zion Lutheran Church** 9535 Clarence Center Road Clarence Center, NY 14032 **Zion Lutheran Church is an Equal Opportunity Employer.** We welcome qualified applicants of all backgrounds and are committed to creating a workplace that reflects God’s love for all people.
